No place like home

It's good to be back home with family, friends and pets. I have been gone to guard duty lately and will be going again soon. I have been quite intrigued by the way our cats behave whenever I return home after being gone for a while. One of our cats named Sampson is one of the most loving cats I have ever met. He cuddles up to you and bows his head all the while placing it on your body. It's almost as if he is hiding himself. What a glorious example of how we can be toward God...hiding ourselves in God's presence, bowing our heads and just relaxing in God's loving presence. God is good! And, there really is no place like home...home is where love is present and we are captured by that love. It's my hope and prayer that all who seek the Lord will rest in God's loving embrace and find comfort, strength and a renewed sense of purpose and hopefullness. I am reminded o the words of a song by the Christian band called Albrech, Roley and Moore - "May the joy of the Lord grant you peace and may that peace be made to the world, as He gathers you in the palm of His hand, making you safe from the world. And like a father he will guide you, and like a mother he will cover you. May the joy of the Lord grant you peace and may that peace be made known to the world." Amen. Come quickly Lord Jesus!
